“Fresh News from the Lido”

A group exhibition to which artists from Kuwait and Bahrain were invited, along with artists, artists and young talents from the Kingdom, hosted and sponsored by (Lido Art Gallery) in Al-Khobar. The hall’s interest in diversification continues since its establishment and the launch of its founder, artist Nawal Al-Ajmi, with programs including workshops, artistic dialogues and various exhibitions.

The general picture of the exhibition shows a disparity in the exhibits. Quite a few of the participants from an ambitious young generation present some experimental or expressive artistic experiences, and perhaps initial attempts by some. Among the participants are Ahlam Al-Mashhadi with a remarkable participation related to her poetic formulations that have always sung to women.

Zakia Zadeh from Bahrain in her work diversifies, two experiments that draw attention to her combinations of living elements, inanimate objects, and plants, creating an aesthetic theme through her different colors of pens, pastel fingers, and color or water medium. The collection of Syed Hassan al-Sari of Bahrain is distinguished by his work on Firuz and the other fossil group.

Sheikha Al-Sinan from Kuwait established spatial relationships that depict the aesthetics of a place. Likewise, Noura Bayhia, who is interested in the effect of treatment and coloring, and Fatima Al-Dahmash (United Arab Emirates) continues to express special or humanitarian issues with solutions that are evident in the entirety of her recent works.

The sculpture was attended by the works of Azhar Saeed, and the group of Noor Al-Serafi (Bahrain) drew attention to the watercolor technique, and the poetic and compassionate treatment. Noura Abdel-Hadi draws expressively while dealing with the woman’s face on a dark (unknown) ocean. Iman Al-Malehi treats the surface with putties and highlights letters and writings.

A wide participation exceeding twenty names, including Muhammad Al-Mahdi, Nawal Al-Ajmi, Amina Naqi, Fatima Al-Shehri, and Noura Al-Yami. Such a gathering from more than one Gulf country can be considered the beginning of a more comprehensive annual exhibition, or for joint meetings between a number of Gulf artists, and it will be an important initiative of (Lido Gallery) in selecting names that have a clear path and special experiences.
