Electric cars are the revolution but there are also many risks that are underestimated in the transition to electric, let’s find out what they are.
The electric cars they are in an expansion phase, at least in Italy, where there are still limits that have not allowed the market to explode. Today this represents a small slice even if many think of the transition to electric as a revolution for their driving.
They are definitely cars performers, advantageous but there are so many pros and cons to evaluate that often escape even in relation to the dangers of electric.
Electric cars, because they are dangerous
Electric cars are definitely expensive and so this is a problem, they need a special recharge with stations that are scarce around Italy and require alternative costs to fuel for electricity which is now very salty.
Electric vehicles are seen as the future and maybe they are but they are also dangerous. The first danger concerns the risk of fires which is greater than in a normal car. The studies on the subject have analyzed the percentage terms determining precisely in practice every occurrence, it is not currently possible to define this risk because it is not possible to make a real estimate but, according to the Italian Fire Brigade, there are no greater fires or greater dangers from this point of view.
The fire issue, however, is the one that causes the concerns more because there are batteries inside the car that can actually generate this problem but in reality it is still a rare eventuality, obviously linked to poor control and lack of maintenance. In cases where car owners keep the car under control as is the case for any other vehicle, the dangers are minimal.
Because electric cars are the future
With electric cars you can also save money, in the first few years you don’t pay car tax, the cost of insurance is lower and the systems are very silent. So unlike what you think, in terms of security, there are lots of pros overall. The problem of purchase and maintenance costs certainly remains, but if possible it is an expense that is worth making for consumption, general costs and also for emissions.
They are therefore perfectly safe as long as they come properly maintained, recharged as required by the regulation without DIY or tampering. In this case they can become very dangerous and cause even very strong fires so it is good to be careful.
