Westminster Abbey in London announced on the 24th that it will hold a special tour from May 15th to July 29th to commemorate the coronation of King Charles of England, which will be held at the Abbey on May 6th. . Tour participants are allowed to take off their shoes and wear socks to enter the “Cosmati Pavement,” the area where the king sits on a chair during the coronation ceremony.

According to the temple, the Kosmati Pavement is an intricate mosaic floor made of marble, glass and metal, completed in 1268. Considered one of the masterpieces of medieval art in England, coronation ceremonies have been held here in front of the altar for over 700 years. It’s the first time it’s been open to the public.
