These Vigils for memory “Flights of Butterflies” arose thanks to the initiative and artistic commitment promoted by Lili Isaguirre and Kochy Guchea, belonging to the musical collective GLT – Grupo La Tranquera. The same Through participatory and collective art, they seek to revitalize and resignify from pain the commitment and militant challenge in education and promotion of MEMORY – TRUTH – JUSTICE.

Taking as a starting point the collective singing, the guitar playing, the stoves used by our 30,000 detained-disappeared compañeros and compañeros, Argentine popular music and that of the Great Homeland allows us to take a tour of our history. At the same time we are going to remember and commemorate them with gestures and actions similar to those that they surely shared. We are going to value and make visible how the pain of absences was transformed into daily hopeful and militant joy.

In the vigil this yearwe will have the special participation of Cecilia De Vincenti, daughter of Azucena Villaflor (Founder of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo), Mabel Careaga, daughter of Beatriz Ballestrino (Founder of Madres de Plaza de Mayo) both members of “Familiares y Compañeros de Los 12 de la Santa Cruz, Mónica Hasenberg photographer and documentalist of Human Rights, leaders and referents of the Clubs belonging to the Human Rights Coordinator of Argentine Football, among other members of human rights organizations.

Members of Human Rights Organizations such as Grandma Delia Giovanola, Taty Almeida, Lita Boitano, Graciela Lois, Ricardo Franco, Luis Bruschtein, Isabel Cullen, Ricardo Capelli, among others, have been part of previous “Flight of Butterflies” vigils.

Flight of Butterflies is a cultural proposal that honors those who have always struggled to make Memory, Truth and Justice the central axes of the life of the peoples.. The contribution of the musical collectives of the groups GLT Grupo La Tranquera and Wauqe, allows the viewer to get closer to the Latin American roots of music, dance, circus art and multimedia productions.

GLT proposes a Buenos Aires folklore, the “ChakaRock”, where within the folkloric rhythms he fuses riffs and arrangements typical of other styles. That night GLT will recover from the popular songbook those songs that maintain the desire for utopias, such as “Patria” by Víctor Heredia and “Pecado de juventud” by Raúl Carnota, both already performed in the Sala Mayor of the Teatro Colón. They are the authors of “Estrella que deja Estela”, a GLT theme that talks about the meeting of Estela de Carlotto and Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, recovered grandson No. 114.

Wauqe will give us in his music the sounds and melodies of native and Andean cultures, present in “Originarios”, his latest album. . . . That night we will be allowed to travel through the music originating from the peoples through huaynos, tinkus, sikuriadas, sayas, tuntunas, kena-kena, moxeñada, taquirari, morenada, among other rhythms.

The The second activity is the concert Women Creators of Music: Songs for Memory that will be held Saturday, March 25, at 5:00 p.m., and proposes spending an afternoon of music to remember and commemorate the 30,000 disappeared detainees through music.
