He lost control of the vehicle

A car crashed this evening on “Hemus” boulevard in Gabrovo. The driver was unharmed, but his 18-year-old companion died on the spot in the car, said the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gabrovo.

The 112 call was received at 8:06 p.m., and teams from the Road Police sector at the Gabrovo Ministry of Internal Affairs and Emergency Services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and a fire truck from the Regional Fire Safety and Population Protection Service had to intervene , to cut the vehicle after the heavy impact into a tree, the Ministry of the Interior said in addition.

The driver will be tested for alcohol and drugs. Traffic on the section of the boulevard is now moving normally.
