This year’s big hair trends include cropped lengths, curtain bangs and soft and natural hair colors. But we also see updos like Tiramisu hair, Butterfly bob and chunky highlights. Having said that, we can state that today there is a name for everything – and that hair trends come and go at breakneck speed.
Halo hair – the season’s trendy hair colour
Another of the season’s big talking heads, which is definitely here to stay, is “Halo hair”, a trend that Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa, among others, have caught on to.
But it’s not the first time we’ve seen the trendy color succeed! Halo hair, for example, was a favorite for a long time in the 00s.
What is Halo hair?
Halo hair simply means dyeing the under and upper hair in different colors. The most common is to combine blond and brown, but we also see, for example, burgundy underhair together with a blond upper hair.

If you don’t want to go all the way, you can also invest in Halo highlights, which instead involve adding wider strands to the hair. For example, blonde, wider loops in the bangs.

Halo hair is of course suitable for all types of hair, but remember that the color requires some maintenance. A tip is therefore to have a color that is as natural as your own as possible on the upper hair and then add the contrasting color to the lower hair. That way, you don’t have to think about growth.
