Cross stitch was the technique chosen by the artisan Mirza Delgado, to give an embroidery workshop to 15 women from different Mapuche groups in Ñuble, as well as five older adults. There were three months of rigorous work on this initiative of the Wengamen Indigenous Group, which culminated in an exhibition, available at the Claudio Arrau León School of Artistic Culture. It will remain until Friday, March 31, for all audiences.
Belén Rivas, director(s) of the Artistic School, said: “we invite the entire community to come to see this exhibition, with the work of women from the region. We believe that the rescue of the worldview of the native peoples and trades that have passed generations is essential for the construction of our identity as a territory”.
