The ÖBB Tauern tunnel between Carinthia and Salzburg will be closed for a month due to “urgent and unavoidable maintenance work”. As the ÖBB announced on Wednesday, the block will apply from April 12 to May 17, 2023. Both long-distance passenger traffic and freight traffic will be diverted over a large area, and the Tauernbahn car lock will also not operate during this period.
