A motorist who was riding in a stolen vehicle in Ontario provoked a police pursuit which sent her to the hospital, Wednesday morning, in Sainte-Julie in Montérégie.
Around 3:40 a.m., the driver of the vehicle was hanging around in a McDonald’s in Sainte-Julie, which prompted the employees of the establishment to call the municipal police.
The police went to the scene to check what was going on. But when the forties would have gone to get her identity papers in her vehicle, she would have rather taken to their heels.
Immediately, a police chase began, before ending on Volta Street in Boucherville, when the fleeing driver hit a snow bank, said the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu-Saint-Laurent.
The 40-year-old woman became unwell and was taken to a hospital for a medical diagnosis, police said.
The vehicle, meanwhile, suffered significant front end damage and had to be towed, it was added.
