Looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We are looking for a Landscape Foreman to join our team.
I would be responsible for:
- Conducting weekly inspections at the workplace
- Complete the workplace checklist
- Installation of necessary materials for landscaping / irrigation / site development
- Scheduling the delivery of materials and equipment
- Crew production rates, quality control and safety
- Assist in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors.
- Make sure all employees attend the weekly gate meeting
- Confirm that all employees are operating safely at all times, including checking for potential traffic hazards; perform helmet and safety equipment checks; underground alert reviews; review of hazards and performance of public safety controls in general
- Maintain a Hazardous Communications Folder that includes all relevant forms for chemicals used on the job site.
- Report reckless or dangerous activities to the Superintendent of Work; notify the Safety officer of any accidents and file accident reports in accordance with Company policy
In addition, employees are expected to comply with all internal control and compliance practices to:
- Protect assets from theft and misuse
- Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud
- Comply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Periodically reconcile physical assets with accounting records.
It could be a good option if you have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in construction works
And while it’s not required, it would be great if you also had:
- Knowledge of plans
- Ability to lead others and manage crews.
- Able to be certified in first aid
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- great attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- strong work ethic
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Work in or on situations close to direct automotive traffic
- Work near or in natural bodies of water.
- Work more than 8 hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days per week (some overtime/weekend work required)
- Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in direct sun for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
- Ability to load/unload burlap with plant clippings on the trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
