You may have noticed that Queen Máxima wore a very special necklace on her visit to Morocco: a triangle with beautiful stones in it. Our local reporter Rick Evers asked the Queen where this necklace came from.
“The necklace is a gift I received from a Dutch-Moroccan woman in 2005 as a reminder of all the wonderful Moroccans living in the Netherlands. Their stories have given me a different view of Morocco.”
In addition, the Queen also enjoys her stay in Morocco, also because it is not very far. The Queen arrived on Monday with a scheduled flight from Transavia. “It’s great that it’s so close and I can come with Transavia. There is also no time difference. It feels a bit like home.”
