Looking for Solutions: How to Deal with Unsatisfactory Hair Loss?

A woman’s hair is a jewel, it is sometimes said, and I think it is. I myself am blessed with a thick head of hair on my head, but I can well imagine that as a woman you are not happy with hair loss. What can you do if it bothers you?

If I’ve caught a good flu, or if I’m not feeling well, I can see it right away in my hair. It looks dull and it seems that I am losing more hair than usual. Did you know that every person loses between one hundred and one hundred and twenty hairs every day? I think that’s quite a lot. Because I have dark hair, you find my hair all over the house and it seems like I’m losing a lot more. Hair loss can have many causes. It could be that it runs in your family, stress is not good for your hair, bad eating habits have an influence and it could be a lack of vitamins, minerals and omega. Hair loss is also often associated with a deficiency omega fatty acids.

Watch the sun

It is therefore important to be kind to your hair and to ensure that it is in top condition so that hair loss is limited. For example, the sun dries out your hair considerably on summer days. Especially in combination with swimming, both in chlorinated water and in the sea, your hair can get a big boost. Problem is quickly solved by wearing a cheerful sun hat or sporty cap.

Your hair doesn’t like blow-drying

Do you always blow your hair with a hair dryer after washing? You can, but don’t do this too often. The hot air can make your hair brittle and fragile, which can eventually cause hair loss. Just let your hair air dry and then style.

Watch out for rubber bands

On hot days or when I exercise, I like to have my hair in a ponytail and as tight as possible. My hairdresser has pointed out the short broken hairs at my hairline. They broke off because I had my elastic band way too tight in my hair. Nowadays I braid my hair and I also sleep with a braid. That makes me lose less hair.

Hair loss after pregnancy

Did you also have such a huge thick head of hair during your pregnancy? How nice it would be if you still had it after giving birth. Unfortunately, the reality is that many women experience hair loss after or during pregnancy. Hormonal changes ensure that your hair becomes nice and thick, but also that you lose those thick hairs again. Usually the hairs that you literally lose in clumps grow back.

Which shampoo do you use?

Also take a critical look at your hair products. What all do you use? Putting a lot of gel and wax in your hair can promote hair loss if you are sensitive to it. That’s because the products are often perfumed. A mild shampoo is okay for your hair and you don’t have to wash your hair with every wash.

Do not paint too often

Dyeing your hair often is also not very conducive to healthy hair. The chemicals in the dye make your hair brittle and break down faster. You can paint once every five weeks, but leave a little more time in between.

Algae oil

What can you do if you suffer from hair loss? Eat a healthy and varied diet and take extra vitamins and minerals. Some people use a product like Saw palmetto because they believe this can help with hair loss. Just like algae oil pills. It sometimes takes a while to find what works for you and if you really lose a lot of hair, think of plucking at the same time, make an appointment with the doctor.
