It has been announced that one of the largest and most trusted sources of photo information on the web is shutting down. Amazon-owned DPReview will close its digital doors very soon (April 10).
DPReview has been operating since 1998, during which time an incredible amount of data has been accumulated about digital photography tools – cameras, lenses, smartphones, etc.
DPReview employees have come from DPReview readers and fans over the years. DPReview is promised to remain active until April 10th, after which DPReview will continue to exist for a while, but all comments will be closed.
It is not yet known how long Amazon will keep DPReview on conditional life, but this period will not exceed a year or two, because everything in the field of digital photography is also changing rapidly, and the data collected by DPReview will start to become obsolete.
