The 3-3 against Southampton generated an explosion inside the Spurs and that would lead to a close end of the cycle for Antonio Conte as technical director of the London cast. A former footballer-turned-manager long ago in Italy, he described it with brutal honesty.
“He is like that, when he does not get results, he is not one of those who philosophize, he gets angry like a hyena,” said Walter Sabatini, who was once the sports director of Rome and Lazio, among others. He also stressed that he imagines that he will soon leave Tottenham to return to his native country.
While Conte assured that his players had no motivation to be at Spurs and did not want to play under pressure, in London the name of a possible replacement began to sound. The Austrian, Oliver Glasner, who is currently at Eintracht Frankfurt is the main target.
