Dutch club Groningen defender Jetro Willems called the police after he was attacked by fans during his team’s 2-0 defeat by Heerenveen in the 26th round of the Dutch football league.
Williams was attacked by one of his team’s fans, while others poured beer on him. Four club employees did not hesitate to inform the police of the assault and attack that affected the player and affected them.
Groningen Club condemned the events, while the police succeeded in identifying those involved in the riots and assault, and prevented them from entering the stadium pending the completion of investigations and trial.
