The police said the culprit mutilation Ayu Indraswari, Heru Prastiyo (23), and the victim know each other. Ayu and Heru met through social media (medsos).
“The victim and the suspect already know each other. It started with introductions via Facebook in November 2022 and they have met several times and been in touch several times,” said the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the DIY Regional Police, Kombes Nuredy Irwansyah Putra, as quoted by Antara. detikJatengWednesday (23/3/2023).
Nuredy said the two of them often met. They also had a relationship like husband and wife.
“What we can convey is that the suspect and the victim know each other well and have met and had sex several times,” he said.
It is known, Ayu’s body was found in one of the guest house rooms, Jalan Kaliurang, Sleman. The victim’s body was found on Sunday, March 19, 2023, around 23.00 WIB.
Starting from the suspicion of the guard of the house who did not see any activity in the room. Ayu’s mutilated body was found in the bathroom. The day before, Ayu was known to have stayed with a man. The mysterious man is said to have rented a room since Saturday (18/3) afternoon.
