Al-Marsad Newspaper: The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt announced, on Wednesday, that a moderate 4-magnitude earthquake occurred 17 km northeast of Aswan and did not result in any losses.
The institute stated, in a statement, that the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
It is worth noting that Egypt recently witnessed earthquakes that were weak or medium in strength, but in 1992 it was hit by a 5.8-magnitude earthquake that killed nearly 500 people.
