The Street Reacts to the Dollar: Protests and Criminal Activities in Markaziya

Protesters, against the deterioration of living conditions and the high exchange rate of the dollar, blocked a number of roads in different regions, most notably the road at the Benoit Barakat barracks in Tyre, the Naqoura line before the Lebanese-Italian hospital, which was cut with tires, as well as the Jiyeh highway and the Mar Mikhael-Chiyah and Barbir road. Citizens also blocked, Walking at Al-Abdah Akkar roundabout, Al-Mazraa Corniche road in both directions, Al-Jadida road, Saadnayel highway, and Brital road, in addition to a number of roads in Tripoli and Akkar, challenging the Al-Hariri project road and Al-Amin Roasters in Al-Qubba, in addition to the Mejdlaya Al-Qubba road.

Also, a number of people closed this evening the western lane of the Zouk Mosbeh Highway at the King Jesus Bridge with a number of waste containers, but the army units operationally deployed in the area reopened the highway for passing cars.

On the other hand, protesters closed the Zouk Mosbeh highway.
