In the video they mention statements such as ‘better keep your unqualified mouth shut’, ‘I spit on you bunch of miscarriages’ and ‘may your team bus burn, bunch of losers’. But also comments such as ‘it used to be ‘Mia San Mia’, now only foreigners”, referring to Bayern Munich’s pet name ‘Mia San Mia’. In the sentences read by the three German internationals, several words had to be censored with a beep.
Bayern Munich wants to provide clarity with the campaign against online hate and support those involved. “In my time as a professional, I experienced what verbal derailments and aggression can cause,” says director Oliver Kahn. “On the internet, these kinds of hate messages often remain out of the public eye. We need more transparency.”
