Mohammad Jamshidi, deputy director of the Iranian presidential office for political affairs, said in a post on social media that in the letter to Rahid, Salman welcomed Saudi Arabia and Iran, the “two fraternal countries,” who agreed to restore diplomatic relations. Saudi Arabia broke diplomatic ties with Iran in 2016. With the support of China, representatives of the two countries held a dialogue in Beijing from the 6th to the 10th of this month.
