The father of badminton player Syabda Perkasa Belawa, Muanis Hadi Sutamto, survived a fatal accident on the Pemalang Highway on Monday (20/3) in the morning.
The departure of the Syabda family group was aimed at celebrating the death of their grandmother in Sragen, Central Java.
Unfortunately, on the way there was a fatal accident that claimed the lives of Syabda, Anik Sulistyowati and their mother.
Ibrahim, one of the neighbors of the Syabda family, was shocked and did not expect that there would be an accident.
The reason is, before leaving Syabda’s father had met and said goodbye to him.
“Syabda’s father, coincidentally there was a RW event that went straight out. I asked him where he was going, he said his parents-in-law died,” Ibrahim said when met at the Bekasi funeral home, Monday (20/3).
Ibrahim also recalled Syabda’s attitude during his life. He has many sweet memories with the 21-year-old badminton player.
“Quiet, polite, disciplined, obedient to parents. Even though he is already a big athlete he is not arrogant. When he comes home from a competition like yesterday’s PON, he brings clothes to share for his neighbors or relatives, for their mementos. Syabda is the pride of all of us here ,” he added.

Currently, Syabda’s father, along with his brother and sister who survived are still being treated at the Al Ikhlas Islamic Hospital, Pemalang.
