CEO of amusement park group Plopsa Steve Van den Kerkhof is pushed aside by Studio 100.

In mid-February, dozens of testimonials from former Plopsa employees about misconduct in the company surfaced. They spoke in the newspaper De Tijd about a “bullying and roaring culture”. The name of the CEO of Plopsa, Steve Van den Kerkhof, fell as responsible. Studio 100 then started an independent investigation.

“We have received serious reports about the working environment at our amusement park division Plopsa. We take these reports very seriously and have therefore launched a thorough and independent investigation,” said Studio 100. The investigation was led by well-known lawyer Christine Mussche.

Mussche’s report would have ended up on the desk of Studio 100’s top executives, Gert Verhulst and Hans Bourlon, last week. It would have been decided that Steve Van den Kerkhof should leave as CEO of amusement park group Plopsa.
