Meta introduces paid verification service for Instagram and Facebook in US

After the social media platform Twitter, Meta also launched the Blue Tick service on Instagram and Facebook. With this, any Instagram and Facebook user can now get a blue tick on their profile, for this they will have to pay a fee as a fee.

Users who sign up on the web will receive blue checkmarks only on Facebook, while mobile app users will receive blue checkmarks for Facebook and Instagram. This blue checkmark is a verification badge that indicates the account is authentic and linked to a public figure, celebrity, or brand.

Blue Tick’s service was first launched by Twitter, which was only for popular people. Instagram previously allowed people working in the media, influencers, celebrities, and politicians to put blue checkmarks in front of their name. Now any user can buy it.

To avoid fake accounts, customers who want to get the blue badge must provide government ID that matches their profile name and photo. Users must also be over 18 to be eligible for the new service,
