Evgeny Seleznev Announces Retirement, Sets Date for Farewell Match

Ukrainian footballer Evgeny Seleznev retired at the age of 37.

It is reported by TaToTake. For the first time Evgeny played at a professional level in 2002 for Shakhtar Donetsk. In addition to the Donetsk team, Seleznev played in Ukraine for such clubs as Arsenal Kyiv, Dnipro, Kolos and Minai.

Seleznev is one of the top scorers in UPL history. He scored the most goals in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2010/11 (17) and 2011/12 (together with Maicon – 14). In total, he has 117 goals in the Premier League. This is the 3rd result in the history of the Ukrainian championship. Maxim Shatskikh’s record is 124.
