In recent years, travel from Puławy to Janowiec has been not only uncomfortable, but also dangerous. The reason for such “conditions” of driving was the quality of the surface and defects on the district road.
A breakthrough came last year, when the poviat obtained PLN 15 million in subsidies from “Polskie Ład”, which allowed to start a comprehensive renovation of the approx.
This year, the tender for the reconstruction of its own section of the road from Janowiec, i.e. a more than 2-kilometre section from Góra Puławska to Sadłowice, was announced by the Provincial Roads Authority.
According to the project, the contractor must replace the asphalt road surface and improve the existing culverts. Two companies from Kraśnik are fighting for the contract. The consortium of PBI Infrastruktura and PBI WMB offered less than PLN 2.1 million, while their competitors from Wod-Bud – PLN 2.9 million.
The favorite is therefore PBI, which was also responsible for the renovation of the aforementioned poviat road. ZDW allocated PLN 2.4 million for the entire task.
If everything goes according to the plan of the road authorities, the section to Sadłowice as part of DW 743 should be ready in a few months. Drivers will wait a little longer for the renovation of the last part of the route to Janowiec, i.e. Janowiecka Street in Góra Puławska. This should be completed by the end of 2025.
