Chairman of the PDIP Megawati Sukarnoputri advise the public to elect a good person like the President Joko Widodo in the upcoming election.
He made this statement when discussing the conditions of the political year. According to him, many parties are confused about making a choice.
“Don’t get carried away. Choose a good person.
He said from the start he was convinced that Jokowi was capable of becoming president. Mega believes that Jokowi has proven he can manage the government.
Mega understands that not all people like Jokowi’s leadership. However, he believes the decision to choose Jokowi is the right choice.
“All of that cannot be pleased, there must be pros and cons,” he said.
Mega several times recalled her decision to choose Jokowi as a presidential candidate in the 2014 presidential election. She said that many doubted her choice at that time, but she ignored it.
“I did not make the wrong choice when I declared Pak Jokowi [sebagai Capres]. People cynically say, ‘who is Jokowi anyway?’ That’s it,” Megawati said at the PDIP National Working Meeting II, at the Party School, Jakarta, Thursday, June 23, 2022.
