One more year, the Association of Widows of Albacete has wanted to collaborate with Cáritas Diocesana de Albacete. It has been a year especially for them, but despite everything, the associates have managed to draw strength and collaborate, as they have always done, with the most fragile people whom Cáritas accompanies through the different social action programs.
Many of them have spent months embroidering, sewing, basting and preparing each of the garments that they have later lovingly delivered to the director of Cáritas, who has enjoyed an afternoon in the company of these women. Rosa García Fernández de Sevilla has thanked her from her heart for the work, affection and social work that all of them carry out, valuing her role and her strength in society.
Mari Llanos González Cuenca, president of the Association of Widows of Albacete, has also been proud of the involvement of the associates, who did not want to miss their traditional appointment with solidarity.
All the dresses, sheets, lullabies and blankets that they have managed to collect have been taken to the Solidarity Wardrobe, located in the diocesan Seminary. These baskets with baby clothes are distributed to the families that Cáritas accompanies from their parish and primary care teams.
