Pro-Ukrainian bar owners and patrons terrorized by Russian police

Approximately 40 people – both employees of the institutions and visitors – were detained and taken to the police station, where they were interrogated, with the participation of representatives of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

Lawyers are not allowed to visit the detainees.

One of the lawyers shared a screenshot showing a letter from a detainee, in which he informs that he was beaten and tortured with an electric shock device.

According to media reports, most of the detainees were later released.

“Telegram” channel SOTA reports that the police forced visitors to the “Underdog” bar to listen to the songs of pop musicians-war supporters, popular with Russian chauvinists, forcing their victims to join them.

The police ordered a visitor to write the Latin letter “Z” on the door, which has become a symbol of Russian aggression and glorification of war after the repeated invasion of Ukraine, reports the “Mediazona” news website.

In July 2022, Telegram channel Baza reported that so-called Russian patriots targeted Underdog and La Virgen for posting on social media about a vinyl-wide charity sale to support the organization Kyiv Angels, which helps the Ukrainian army, medics and civilians affected by the war.
