The Confederation of Japan Trade Unions (Rengo) said yesterday that the country’s major companies agreed during their annual labor talks to average a 3.8 percent wage increase in the next fiscal year, the highest increase in nearly three decades.
He added that a preliminary survey of 805 Ringo-affiliated unions showed an average increase of 11,844 yen ($89) per month.
