Mayors of two villages have been detained on suspicion of involvement in corruption schemes according to data from the police in Kardzhali, quoted by bTV.

According to initial data, the arrested officials are 31 and 63 years old and are participated in a scheme to register foreign citizens for money at addresses in both settlements.

For the moment, it is not specified whether the illegal address registrations are related to the upcoming early parliamentary elections on April 2.
