Darwin José Navas Rivero, 31, died at the Hospital Universidad del Norte, located in Soledad, Atlántico. The man, a Venezuelan national, remained hospitalized after being injured after an armed attack that took place in that same municipality.
The case was registered on February 27 in the Nueva Esperanza III neighborhood, exactly at Carrera 8 with Calle 80.
The first versions state that hitmen, disguised as policemen, broke into his home and shot him several times in the forearm and abdomen.
The attackers fled, while the victim had to be transferred to La Misericordia Hospital and was later referred to the Universidad del Norte Hospital. The death occurred on the afternoon of last Wednesday, March 15.
