On March 16, Vladislav Shapsha spoke to the regional Legislative Assembly with a report on the results of the work of the regional government in 2022. Among other things, the governor spoke about the fate of the Volkswagen plant in Kaluga, which has been idle since last spring.
According to the head of the region, the decision on the automobile plant will be announced “in the near future.”
This coincides with a statement by Volkswagen CEO Oliver Blume, who previously said that the fate of the Kaluga car plant would be decided in the next few weeks.
