Nintendo has unveiled a new poster for the first film in the M cinematic universe created by Illumination summoning all fans of the popular Italian plumber to the next April 7 in theaters.
Half the planet is waiting for Mario’s irruption on the big screen after seeing how Sonic became a real box office bomb after a hesitant start. With the creators of The Minions behind and the backing of Universal Pictures and Nintendo There is no doubt that we are facing one of the great premieres of the season.
And to all this we must add Chris Pratt como Mario, Charlie Day como Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy como Peach, Seth Rogen como Donkey Kong y Jack Black como Bowser. Matthew Fogel has been in charge of the script, and Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic of the direction. All this under the supervision of Shigeru Miyamoto, father of the entire Mario Bros.
The original date chosen for its premiere was December 21, to later move to March 31 and finally this April 7. An indicative date that was known in the middle of last year and that is now final two months after its arrival in theaters around the world.
The design is very reminiscent of the three-dimensional Mario that we know from the days of Mario 64 and up to the more recent Mario Odyssey. The film simply adds another twist to the rendering of the character, enhances his expression and applies an important texture pack to the materials we see on the screen.
A circumstance that could mean, according to all the rumors, that some elements of the video game end up being part of a future Mario video game. New Super Mario Bros is a project that could soon land on Nintendo Switch and that would unite the cinematographic and video game universes.
