Al-Marsad Newspaper: A trainer and one interested in nutritional education revealed 4 rumors that abound in Ramadan about food, which are completely untrue, including drinking ice water, fresh juices, and walking half an hour before eating breakfast.

The specialist explained these four rumors, on the program “Evening a Message”, broadcast on the “Resala” channel, saying: One of the most frequent rumors, in Ramadan, is that drinking cold water surprises the pancreas, which secretes insulin and causes the pancreas to malfunction.

The specialist commented that this matter is not entirely true, on the contrary, drinking fresh juice is good, better than sweetened juices.

The specialist revealed the second rumor that always appears, which is that sweetened juices cause cancer, indicating that they are unhealthy and linked to weight gain and obesity, but they do not cause cancer.

As for the third rumor, the specialist explained what some people are circulating that drinking cold water damages the liver, completely denying the validity of this information because once cold water reaches the stomach, it takes body heat.

The specialist concluded by referring to the fourth rumor, which is that whoever walks half an hour before breaking the fast, his blood clots and may reach the stage of death, and this matter is not always true, so do not believe it.
