At a time when tomorrow’s professions in health are mostly to be defined, the urgency of thinking and proposing solutions outside disciplinary silos seems essential. In this context, UQAC seized the opportunity to set up an Intersectoral Center for Sustainable Health (CISD). This brings together researchers whose expertise ranges from genetics to psychology, or from social sciences to computer science. The two research themes are the genetic determinants of health and proximity health with sustainable health as the ultimate objective. The amalgamation of these varied forces multiplies the opportunities to create innovative projects and thus to strive towards this objective.
