SHARJAH, 16th March / WAM / The Sharjah Foundation for Social Empowerment launched its seasonal campaign “Zak” which aims to consolidate the humanitarian support process for orphans during the blessed month of Ramadan through a set of implemented projects that serve 2,763 orphans belonging to 1,150 families in the Emirate of Sharjah and the central and eastern regions, by allocating Basic aid within the two projects of zakat money and supplies for Ramadan, in addition to a number of Ramadan projects sponsored by the campaign.
Every year, the Foundation covers the basic needs of families from the two projects of zakat money and provisions, where the amounts allocated to each family are spent before the start of the month of Ramadan, which ensures that affiliated families with limited income are prepared to provide their needs for the holy month, and the allocated amounts are allocated according to the situation of each family, its standard of living and the number of its members.
Mona bin Hadda Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the Foundation, said: The “Zakat” Ramadan campaign aims to serve and care for orphans, and the Foundation has received many zakat funds and donations over the past years to support the campaign, which reflects community solidarity, solidarity and human cohesion, and we look forward this season to community members continuing their benevolent and benevolent role And support the Ramadan campaign in its various projects.
“Zak” is one of the most important seasonal campaigns through which the Foundation launches many supportive projects that serve the families of orphans and ease the burden on them. Among the most prominent projects of the campaign: the “Zakat” project, which extends throughout the year and is activated on a larger scale during the campaign, and the “Ramadan Mir” project, one of The most important projects proposed in the campaign, through which supplies will be provided to the families of orphans during the holy month, and the “Ramadan Gift” project will give the community members the opportunity to present Ramadan gifts of baskets and food boxes to them. By financing Ramadan iftar meals for families in public places.
The “Sawgha Ramadan” initiative came for the second year to provide an opportunity for community members through an activated electronic link to fund any Ramadan project in the Zak campaign to benefit orphan families through the campaign’s projects.
