After four tough and demanding weeks, the 14 “Kompanie Lauritzen” celebrities have soon made it through the recruitment period. Soon they will move on to the aspirant period, but before that time a final demanding exercise awaits in the recruit period, namely “hurramegrundt”.
However, there is one of the participants who never took part in the exercise. Vendela Kirsebom (56) had to withdraw from the program and leave the TV recording before that time.

The former supermodel had promised her daughter before taking part that she would be present during her graduation ceremony in London, and as the date clashed with the military period at Setnesmoen camp, the 56-year-old had to opt out of the “Company Lauritzen”.
But it now turns out that Kirsebom had landed a special agreement with the production, and that she had actually been promised that she would be allowed to return to the recording. It didn’t turn out that way.
Didn’t keep the deal
According to The website of the Armed Forces it is usual to get 20 leave days in the first service, but as “Kompani Lauritzen” is recorded in a strict time frame over four weeks, the same rules do not apply in the reality programme.
TV 2 says that the production does not allow the participants to get leave or be absent from the recording of “Kompani Lauritzen”, but admits to Nettavisen that the production made an exception for Kirsebom, and granted one day of leave so that she could travel to London.
– We wanted to let her take part in the diploma ceremony as long as she was back again until the day after school. Unfortunately, there were changes in the production plan during the recording, and it was no longer possible to give Vendela a perm on the day in question, says TV 2’s press manager, Jan-Petter Dahl.
Furthermore, he says that everything was in order for Kirsebom to be away from the TV recording for a short period, but since the end of school was moved and coincided with the promo day for the recruit and aspirant period, the production could not fulfill Kirsebom’s wish.

This led to her having to leave “Kompani Lauritzen”, for which TV 2 apologizes.
– Vendela herself had a strong desire to continue recording. We regret that it was no longer possible for her to attend the diploma ceremony and return to Setnesmoen as she had been promised, says Dahl to Nettavisen.

That’s why she got an exception
Kirsebom thus became the first participant to have to leave military service and Setnesmoen camp, and it was clear that the sudden departure was extra heavy for the 56-year-old.
Kirsebom did not make the decision so easily, and in Wednesday’s episode Kirsebom says that it was “very hard to leave before the fog match”, and that she felt empty.

The press manager at TV 2 says that the channel was aware that at some point during the recording Kirsebom had to go away for a short time, but emphasizes that they still did not want to take her out of the production.
– We wanted to have Vendela as a participant in this year’s season, and as we have a promo day between the recruit and aspirant periods, we found a solution together with Vendela that we thought would make it possible to achieve both, says Dahl.
Several of the other participants have reacted to this, Nettavisen learns.
