However, unfortunately not many people are aware of the importance of this screening

“Cardiac screening includes a method for early detection of heart risk factors that is quite effective so that a person can get medical treatment and care that is fast and appropriate according to heart health conditions,” said dr. Sri in the online seminar ‘The Importance of Early Diagnosis and Proper Heart Handling Procedures to Create a Healthy Society’, Wednesday (15/3/2023).

He further said that proper and fast screening can be done and minimize the occurrence of heart health problems. Cardiac screening is highly recommended to be carried out regularly from a young age.

Various types of cardiac screening to monitor heart health such as Electrocardiography, Echocardiography, CT Angiogram, Coronary Catheter Angiography and Nuclear Voltage Test.

Routine cardiac screening is an important part of preventive health care for adults. Starting around age 20 or in some cases earlier, your doctor will likely order these checks regularly.

“If later the results of the examination show signs of heart disease or a high risk of developing heart disease, the doctor may order additional tests. Family history can determine when the test should be started and how often it should be done,” he explained.
