The Story of the ’48 Revolution – Director’s Cut

It is a tradition at Móricz Zsigmond Primary School that the community of the institution commemorates the revolutionary events of March 15 and the civil revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49 with a festive performance. This time in the institution’s gymnasium, 5/a. students, teachers and interested parents could watch the program of the class. The fifth-graders recalled the most important episodes of the outbreak of the revolution, its defining heroes and the history of the freedom struggle embedded in the moving whirlwind of a historical film that brings the age to life. At the end of the performance, the students of the school sang the National Anthem together. At the end of the ceremony, Ildikó Moraveczné Szabó, the deputy head of the institution, thanked the teachers and students participating in the presentation for their work, and then highlighted the most important message of March 15 to today’s youth, that with a common will and cooperation, great goals can be achieved even for a handful of communities.
