Remarkable Reaction of Formula 1 towards London Grand Prix Plans.

Where The Times reported earlier on Tuesday that there are concrete plans about hosting an East London Grand Prix, a spokesman for the sport added PlanetF1 a second race in Great Britain.

The idea was to organize a race in the Docklands area in the capital of Great Britain. The port area will be redeveloped in the coming period and a race through the streets of East London seemed imminent. Max Farrel of design agency LDN Collective has already shown a design of a circuit and there would be a unique pit lane. None of that, as it turns out a few hours after the news became known, because a spokesman for Formula 1 contradicts a second race in the country.

Response Formula 1

Although the organizer has expressed the wish for a race in the port area and has already come up with concrete plans, Formula 1 has received no response. A spokesman for the royal class tells the British medium: “There are no plans for a Grand Prix in the port area. We have a long-standing relationship with Silverstone.” Farrel previously hoped that there would simply be a second race in Great Britain, but has now had to abandon that hope.

The race was part of the £250 million redevelopment of London’s docklands. The circuit would be 5.8 kilometers long with 22 corners and an average speed of 127 kilometers per hour.
