This perception is supported by the political culture that we inherit and that we nurture as citizens, day after day, six-year term after six-year term, which varies according to the society to which we belong or observe. They are not the same symbols, norms, values, beliefs, myths or ideals on which we Mexicans rely to give meaning to our relationship with institutions, authorities, political actors or elites, as those who live in Scandinavian, South Asian or Western societies. For example, polarization, disdain for institutions, little tolerance and disregard for the rule of law, are aspects that, unfortunately, little by little have been permeating and becoming embedded in the mentality of the Mexican population. However, there is a recent phenomenon that has impacted the construction of this figure, which has already made a dent in other latitudes and it will be possible to see it as a determining factor in the race for the 2024 presidency: nationalism or, as in other cases, the perverse game for distorting it and where the electorate tends to become prey to fallacious reasoning.

It is exactly in this dimension: with a Mexican political culture overwhelmed by the powerful propaganda that disdains the institutions and runs over those who do not agree with their way of thinking, as well as a crude but effective narrative -worthy of the last century- where if You are not against the United States, you are not Mexican, it is worth considering whether Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard has a chance towards 2024.

Initially, the king of TikTok ends up meaning the moderate wing of a party in power that has had as one of its main objectives to erase from the map everything that represents, in his own vision, neoliberalism… Is President López Obrador?
