This program has provided aid to more than 300 thousand inhabitants of the state of Texas. However, to apply for this benefit there is a period of time determined by the authorities.
What steps must you follow to apply for the benefit?
The first thing is that you must visit the website https://TexasRentRelief.com. You will do this to find out all the eligibility details, as well as to oversee the documents you will need.
In a second moment, you should try to gather all the documents before the established time. Here the objective is to expedite said application process.
Finally, you will submit your application online or by phone beginning March 14. To do so, you must call the Texas Rental Assistance Program call center at 833-9TX-RENT (833-989-7668).
It is important to know that those who apply for help from the Texas Rental Assistance Program may be eligible for up to 18 months. This would be in the assistance for the payment of rents and public services either for past due payments and up to three months of current payments. Futures made in your name are also included in the combination.
Something different occurs with applicants who return seeking additional assistance and have not received the maximum of 18 months for rent and/or utilities. In this case, they will need to submit a request for Additional Funds through their online user account.
It should be clarified that the funds available right now are limited and the applications will be processed according to the order in which they were received. However, priority will be given to people who are currently at risk of eviction.
