The former mayoress on the capital district Youth Desislava Ivancheva will be brought V Administrative court in Sliven, where it is started case for inaction vs the administration on the local prison.
According to Ivancheva, they did not respond to her requests for treatment to supply drugs.
Ivancheva has been in prison in Sliven for 4 months, after the Supreme Court of Cassation finally sentenced her to 6 years in prison and a BGN 12,000 fine in November. Her former deputy, Bilyana Petrova, was sentenced to 5 years in prison, and Ivancheva’s predecessor as mayor of Mladost, Petko Dyulgerov, received 4 years in prison.
The former mayor and her deputy were convicted of taking a 70,000 euro bribe from construction contractor Alexander Vaklin, and Dyulgerov was the intermediary.
