The right DAW
A DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is a program that allows you to record music. There are quite a few, all with different advantages and disadvantages. Most DAWs come with digital instruments, also called MIDI instruments. They help you incorporate an instrument into your song even though you can’t play it. You can also use effects, often called plug-ins, to change the sound of your recorded audio and MIDI tracks. Most importantly, you combine the components and sounds into your finished song in a DAW.
