If for the vast majority Suzanne Vega is known only for her title “Luka” which had an international success in 1987, she is nonetheless an interesting artist with a rich discography of nine albums including the exceptional “solitude standing in which we find Luka.
Titles like Tom’s dinner, in my Book of dreams or the extraordinary Calypso are also worth noting. She performed on Sunday at the Partouche casino in Lille for a concert originally planned a year ago. Equipped with an acoustic guitar, accompanied only by an acolyte on the electric guitar, the American took us into her world for a good hour and a half.
We are certainly far from the deluges of visual effects and decibels of the great US shows but we let ourselves be carried away by its soft and planing melodies to finally leave appeased by the nostalgia of past decades.
