A security source revealed that the death toll from an apartment fire in Faisal has risen to one death and six injured.
The source said that the dead girl was 11 years old, while the six injured of suffocation – 3 women and 3 men – were transferred to Umm Al-Masryeen Hospital for treatment.
The examination revealed that a fire had broken out in the property No. 2, Barakat Al-Roubi Street, branching from Al-Arbaeen, next to a pharmacy. The residential tower consists of 10 floors, and the fire broke out in the third.
The initial inspection of the policemen attributed the cause of the fire to an electrical short circuit, which resulted in the apartment catching fire
The beginning dates back to the official of the Civil Protection Operations Room in Giza receiving a signal from the Rescue Police Department that thick fumes and flames rose from a property on Arbaeen Street.
Major General Jaber Bahaa, Director of the General Administration of Civil Protection in Giza, dispatched 3 fire engines, led by his deputy, in coordination with the department commander.
The examination revealed that a fire broke out in an apartment on the third floor of a residential tower, which resulted in the death of a child and the injury of 6 others, who were transferred to Umm Al-Masryeen Hospital.
Civil defense men are working to confront the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring residential units.
