‘Everything’ won 7 awards including Best Picture at the 95th Oscar

At the 95th Oscars ceremony held in Los Angeles, USA on the 12th, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ won Best Picture.

This work tells the life of a Chinese-American family in the science fiction (SF) genre, and the main character, Liang Zichong, won the Best Actress Award.

Ki Hoi Quan, a Vietnamese refugee who played Liang Zichong’s husband in the same film, also won the Best Supporting Actor award.

The film swept a total of seven awards, including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor.

This year’s Oscar for Best Actor went to Brendan Fraser for his role in “The Whale,” which tells the story of a college lecturer who becomes a giant at 272kg after abusing himself after the death of his lover.

The Oscars ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California, moderated by famous American broadcaster Jimmy Kimmel.

A total of 23 awards were given at the event, including Best Picture, Best Director, Male and Female Leading and Supporting Actors.

In particular, this awards ceremony broke the tradition of the red carpet (red carpet) that filmmakers had stepped on and changed the color of the carpet to a bright champagne color for the first time in 62 years.
