As it became known to “SE”, the Russian Football Union (RFU) is negotiating the participation of the Russian team in the first championship of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA).
The competitions will take place in June 2023 and will be held in Tashkent and Bishkek.
CAFA includes such federations as Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Last year, FIFA and UEFA suspended all Russian teams from participation in competitions under the auspices of the organizations.
