The police seized a bus with 25 migrants on the “Struma” highway. They say they are from Afghanistan.
The bus is stopped on the highway in the direction of Pernik. The people in the bus were on top of each other.
The vehicle in which the refugees were transported has a Sofia registration. It is still unclear where the migrants traveled from and where they were going.

Law enforcement officers will conduct a search to determine whether migrants have documents.
“The group was monitored by the General Directorate for the Fight against Organized Crime, in fact they filed the report and it was stopped at a place that we judged to be safe. The group is being watched all the time. 25 people traveled with the van. The driver of the vehicle is a Bulgarian citizen. He is detained”, said the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Demerdzhiev.
The driver was detained, he is 20 years old and has a criminal record.
