Lambaréné, March 12, 2023 (AGP) – On the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day, the Association of Midwives of Gabon has just organized, this Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the conference room of the provincial family service, a conference debate, with the students of the professional establishments of Lambaréné.
From the beginning of the conference debate, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the sinking of Libreville. This was followed by the word of circumstance pronounced by the provincial responsible for social affairs. Then the life coach Marlène Mvono, life health specialist took over to develop the theme for the current year, entitled “for an inclusive world: innovation and transformative technologies and digital education”. She has thus developed, for young ladies, rudiments, orientations in order to provide support to all those who are still reluctant to commit to the creation of projects that can be sold through social networks.
Subsequently, Mrs. Eliane Nkene, head of the maternal and child health service at the urban health center of Lambaréné became involved in the construction of family planning, for a healthy, responsible and fulfilled sexuality so that each pregnancy is desired, that everyone is protected from sexually transmitted infections and that every woman is respected.
It should be remembered that for International Women’s Day placed under the theme: For an inclusive digital world: innovation and technologies for gender equality, lives increasingly depend on strong technological integration. And yet, 37% of women in the world do not use the internet and although they constitute almost half of the world’s population, the technological gap is still against them.
Note that this conference debate was organized through the provincial branch of the said association in Moyen Ogooué, in collaboration with the provincial service.
